How the big email platforms compare when your readers are behind a filter
Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Klaviyo and the rest are strong products, and for most audiences any of them will do the job well. This page is an honest map of what each is built for, and of the one situation they were never designed for: readers on filtered networks.
What each platform does well
No ranking, no scores. What each one was built for.
| Platform | Known for | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Mailchimp | The best known name in email marketing, with a large template library and a big app ecosystem. | Small businesses that want a familiar brand and plenty of ready-made design. |
| Constant Contact | Long established, with a strong small-business and events focus and a phone-support culture. | Organisations that want to pick up the phone and talk to someone in the US. |
| Brevo | Email, SMS and chat in one account, with a solid transactional API alongside the marketing side. | Teams that want marketing and transactional sending in the same place. |
| MailerLite | Clean and simple, with a generous free tier and a pleasant editor. | Small sites and creators who want to start quickly without a heavy setup. |
| Kit | Built for creators: newsletters, paid subscriptions, and tagging instead of lists. | Writers and creators monetising an audience directly. |
| ActiveCampaign | Deep automation and a built-in CRM, with some of the most flexible journey building around. | Teams that want complex, branching automations and sales handoff. |
| Klaviyo | Ecommerce first, with a very deep Shopify integration and revenue attribution per campaign. | Online stores that want to see money next to every send. |
| Omnisend | Ecommerce email and SMS in one, simpler to learn than the heavier ecommerce platforms. | Smaller stores that want ecommerce flows without a long setup. |
| HubSpot | Marketing, sales and service on one CRM, with email as part of a much larger platform. | Companies standardising their whole go-to-market on a single system. |
| GetResponse | Email alongside webinars, landing pages and funnels. | Businesses that sell through webinars and course funnels. |
| Campaign Monitor | Design-led templates and a polished editor, popular with agencies and brand teams. | Brands where the look of the email matters most. |
| AWeber | One of the oldest names, straightforward autoresponders and a simple mental model. | People who want simple sequences without a learning curve. |
| Moosend | Budget-friendly automation with a capable editor. | Teams watching cost who still want real automation. |
| Zoho Campaigns | Email that sits inside the wider Zoho suite and its CRM. | Businesses already running on Zoho. |
| Benchmark Email | A simple editor and a genuinely multilingual interface. | Teams spread across languages that want something easy. |
| Twilio SendGrid | Developer-first transactional sending at very large scale, with marketing campaigns layered on. | Product teams sending from their own code. |
| Mailjet | Transactional and marketing together, with collaborative template editing. | Teams where marketing and developers edit the same templates. |
| Drip | Ecommerce automation aimed at smaller stores. | Stores that want ecommerce flows without enterprise pricing. |
Where we are genuinely different
- Built for filtered networks Images and files travel inside the message rather than loading from an outside server, which is the single thing that most often stops mail from displaying behind a content filter.
- Tested against the filters people actually use NetFree, Rimon, Etrog and the others, rather than assumed to work.
- English, Hebrew and Yiddish Including right-to-left layout and Hebrew typography, not a translated interface with broken direction.
- Attachments that stay attached PDFs, flyers and images sent with the message.
- Warm-up done for you A new sending domain is warmed by us through real correspondence with active mailboxes before your first campaign.
When one of them is the better choice
A comparison page that never says this is a brochure
- Your audience is not behind any content filter. Then this particular strength does not apply to you, and a larger platform may give you more template and integration choice.
- You sell on Shopify and want revenue per send. Klaviyo is built for that.
- You want the largest possible app marketplace. The biggest platforms have a scale of integrations no smaller vendor matches.
Questions we get asked
Is this page saying those platforms are bad?No. They are capable products. They were simply not built for readers on filtered networks, which is what we were built for.
What actually breaks behind a filter?Usually the images. Most platforms host images on their own servers and load them when the message is opened. A content filter can block that load, and the reader sees an empty frame or nothing at all.
Can we move a list across?Yes. Export from your current platform and import here. Plan for the sending domain, because a new sending address needs warming first, and we do that for you.
