Constant Contact or Kosher Email: an honest comparison
Constant Contact is one of the longest-running email platforms, with a strong small-business and events focus and phone and chat support on every paid plan. Many of our customers outside Israel came to us from it. When we ask why, three answers keep coming back: attachments, the way pricing works, and wanting someone to do the technical work for them. Here is what is true about each.
The differences in one table
Constant Contact's prices and limits are taken from their own pricing page and knowledge base, checked in September 2026. They change, so confirm the figure for your list with them.
| Topic | Constant Contact | Kosher Email |
|---|---|---|
| Attachments | Not available in the email product; files are hosted in their library and sent as a link. Their separate Lead Gen & CRM product does allow attachments. | Files attached to the message and images embedded in the body. Priced by file size and volume, on a quote. |
| Pricing structure | A subscription priced on the highest number of active contacts. Lite, Standard and Premium start at $12, $35 and $80 a month and rise with list size. Prepaying 6 or 12 months saves 10% or 15%. | A monthly plan priced on contacts, or prepaid email credits: buy once, the balance does not expire, and there is no monthly fee. |
| Sending limit | A monthly allowance of 10, 12 or 24 times your contact tier, depending on the plan. Beyond it, $2 per 1,000 emails. | Monthly plans allow up to 10 sends a month per contact. With credits you send what you bought, when you need to. |
| Support | Phone and chat on all paid plans during US and Canadian business hours, with priority support on Premium. | People rather than a chatbot, in English and Hebrew, with US, UK and Israeli numbers. We warm your domain, clean your list and set up your DNS for you. |
| Hebrew and right-to-left | No built-in right-to-left support. Their support team has suggested typing the text elsewhere and pasting it in. | Templates and interface in English, Hebrew and Yiddish, with right-to-left layouts. |
| Readers behind kosher filters | Files are hosted online and reached by a link, and images load from the web when the message opens. | Built for NetFree, Rimon and Etrog readers: images and files travel inside the message, so nothing has to load from outside. |
| Nonprofits | 20% off with a 6-month prepay, 30% with 12 months, after proof of nonprofit status. | Prepaid credits suit organisations that send before holidays and events rather than every month. |
Attachments: the most common reason
Organisations that send invitations, forms, flyers or schedules want the file to arrive inside the email. In Constant Contact's email product that is not possible; the file goes out as a link the reader has to open in a browser. Readers who browse through a content filter, or who simply do not click links, never get it.
With us the file is sent as an attachment and images are embedded in the message instead of loading from outside. Sending with attachments is priced separately, by file size and volume, so it comes as a quote.
Price: not always cheaper, but built differently
We will not tell you we are cheaper in every case. At the entry level the numbers are close. The difference is for organisations that do not send every month. On Constant Contact you pay the subscription on your active contacts even in a month you send nothing. With us you can buy email credits that do not expire and pay only for what you send. Outside Israel, pricing comes as a written quote based on your list size and sending volume.
Service: we do the technical work
Constant Contact's support is reachable by phone and chat, and we will not claim otherwise. What customers look for when they come to us is someone who does the work for them: domain warm-up done by us, list cleaning before you send, and the DNS records for your sending domain set up on your behalf. Support is in English and Hebrew.
When Constant Contact is the better choice
- You run events and registrations. Constant Contact has a long-standing events focus.
- You want the largest possible integration marketplace. The biggest platforms have a range of connections no smaller vendor matches.
- You need no Hebrew, no attachments and no filtered audience. Then the differences on this page matter less, and you should choose on comfort.
